Despite the loss, the team showcased some impressive individual performances that highlight their potential and determination. Anisha led the defense with an impressive 11 digs, demonstrating her commitment and resilience on the court. Her ability to read the game and react quickly was a key factor in keeping rallies alive. With a passing percentage of 2.4, she continually worked to set up plays and maintain momentum. Bree also put in a solid performance, contributing with a 1.66 passing percentage and 6 digs. Her tenacity and skill were evident as she played a crucial role in supporting the team's defensive efforts. On the offensive side, Lauren stood out as the kill leader with 4 kills. Her powerful swings and strategic placements added energy to the team's attack and kept the opposing defense on their toes. Shout out to Avery who stepped in at the last minute to play middle due to a teammate's injury, and she handled the situation with a fantastic attitude. Despite facing a tough opponent, the Lady Broncos fought hard, demonstrating impressive skills and determination throughout the game. The defensive specialists—Gabby Gaboriau, Kaley Tweed, and Claire Kainer—played pivotal roles in keeping the energy high and the spirits even higher, rallying their teammates with strong communication and unwavering support. Player of the game honors went to Claire Kainer, whose defensive prowess, aggressiveness, and stellar serving truly shone during the match. Claire's ability to anticipate the opponent’s moves and her relentless drive to keep the ball in play helped the Lady Broncos stay competitive, reflecting the heart and dedication of the entire team. The Lady Broncos B-Team faced off against a tough Colleyville squad, and despite the challenge, they never gave up on a single ball. Colleyville’s defense put up a strong fight, but the Broncos showed resilience throughout the match, powered by aggressive serves and stellar digs. Standout performances came from Gigi McGill and Disha Kakarla, who were absolute beasts behind the serving line. Their powerful serves helped bring the team back when they were down, keeping the momentum alive. Penelope Garza also made an impact at the net, hustling for every tough ball and making key plays during the game. The Player of the Game was Katiana Mendoza. She stood out as a great defensive player, consistently digging up tough hits from Colleyville and keeping the team motivated with her constant positivity and encouragement on the court. Though the match was a hard-fought battle, the Lady Broncos’ effort and team spirit were undeniable. We are looking forward to our last game next week against Grapevine!
C team:
The Lady Broncos C-Team took on a tough Colleyville defense but fought hard every step of the way. They showed great teamwork, playing smart and staying aggressive from start to finish, never giving up on any ball. Brooklyn N. was a standout on defense, covering the entire court and chasing down every ball that came her way. Her quick reactions and strong hustle kept the team competitive. Aanya G. also shined on defense, digging up difficult shots and making key plays that kept Colleyville from gaining too much momentum. The Players of the Game were Mariana and Gwen E. Both showed excellent defensive skills, making crucial plays when needed. Their improvement since the beginning of the season has been amazing, and their confidence on the court has made a huge difference for the team. The C-Team’s continued effort and growth were clear in this game, and their determination is something to be proud of!
