The 8th Grade Lady Broncos A Team battled their cross-town rival West and came away with a thrilling victory! The girls fought hard through three exciting games, winning 25–20, 14–25, and 15–7. Player of the Game went to Hadley Naughton, who sparked the team with a long serving run, two big blocks, and several smart, heads-up plays. The Broncos’ defense shined with key contributions from Gabby Gaboriau, making some clutch passes to keep the rallies alive against West’s powerful hitters. This win was a true team effort! The girls showed extraordinary teamwork, working through tough practices and even some injuries to come together when it counted most. Raelyn Tweed delivered several difficult jump serves, while Abby Hicks and Samika Bandari helped lead the offense with consistency and confidence. The Lady Broncos showed grit, unity, and determination in this hard-fought win, making their school proud!

The Lady Broncos 8th grade B -Team put up a strong fight against West but ultimately came up short in a hard-fought match. Despite the loss, the team saw impressive efforts, with Gianna delivering sharp, consistent passing that kept the offense alive throughout the game. Penelope also stood out with a string of powerful serves that kept West on their heels and helped the lady Broncos gain momentum during key stretches. Though the scoreboard favored West at the end, the Lady Broncos showed resilience and flashes of brilliance that promise a strong comeback in their next game. Player of the game was awarded to Gianna McGill.

The 8th grade Lady Broncos C-Team faced a challenging match against West, falling short on the scoreboard but shining in spirit. Throughout the game, the team displayed strong camaraderie, encouraging one another with every point and never letting the score define their energy. Confidence radiated on the court as the Broncos stayed focused and fought hard through every set. While the match ended in a loss, the unity, positive attitude, and growing teamwork on display were clear signs of a team on the rise. Player of the game was awarded to Rylee Russ.

Despite a hard-fought loss to the West Wranglers, the 7th grade A team opened the match with confidence and strong communication. Prisha Agarwal helped spark early momentum in a new role as middle hitter, using quick coordination with teammates to put the Wranglers on the defensive from the start. Kuvira Jayatileke stood out at the net, delivering several key plays and bringing aggressive energy that lifted the whole team. The Broncos showed hustle on defense, working together to extend rallies through effective court coverage and clear communication. While the Wranglers pulled ahead in the final set, the Broncos displayed impressive growth, teamwork, and chemistry.

In a hard-fought match, the 7th grade B team fell to the West Wranglers in straight sets. Despite the 2-set loss, there were bright spots in the performance—most notably the consistent all-around play from Meera Sankar and strong serving from Uma Karabegovic. Meera remained composed and reliable throughout the game, contributing both offensively and defensively. Uma also made a key impact with her serving, delivering several strong runs that kept the pressure on the Wranglers and gave the team opportunities to rally. Although the result wasn’t what the team hoped for, the individual efforts of players like Meera and Uma are encouraging signs moving forward. With continued effort and teamwork, the team is ready to bounce back in the next match.

Our 7th grade C team fought hard but ultimately fell in a tough three-set match against the West Wranglers. Each set was a battle, with momentum swinging back and forth throughout the night. Despite the loss, the team showed resilience and heart, especially in the final set. Desirae Siale stepped up in a big way, delivering key serves that kept us in the game when it mattered most. Peyton Wolford also had a strong performance, standing out on defense and in serve receive, keeping plays alive and giving the team opportunities to fight back. While the scoreboard didn’t fall in our favor, the effort, energy, and fight displayed on the court proved that this team is growing stronger with every match.
