8th Grade

A team - Last night, our team faced off against the Cross Timbers Wolves in their first home game of the season. The girls started off a bit slow but quickly gained momentum toward the end of the first set, setting a strong tone for the second. Anisha Konda once again showcased her exceptional leadership in the back row, leading with 8 digs. Caroline Crawford and Lucy also made significant contributions with 7 and 5 digs, respectively. Carolien always led with 7 assists for the night. In the front row, Avery and Lauren defended well with 2 blocks each, while Bree delivered an impressive performance with 3 blocks, including a jaw-dropping stuff block. Lucy was the kill leader for the game, securing 3 kills, with Bree and Lauren closely behind with 2 each. Although we faced some tough rotations that hindered our performance, the girls fought valiantly against an undefeated team. We’re incredibly proud of their effort and look forward to the challenge of facing Heritage next week on the road. Player of the Game honors go to Caroline Crawford for her hustle, heart, and outstanding defensive play. Keep up the great work team!



The B Team was thrilled to take the court for their first home game of the season against Cross Timbers. Despite facing some challenges due to a few injuries, the girls displayed remarkable resilience and determination. In the first set, they fought hard but ultimately fell to Cross Timbers, 15-25.Abigail Chambers, who stepped into the libero role this week, had an outstanding night on defense. Her relentless pursuit of the ball and quick reflexes were instrumental in setting her team up for potential scoring opportunities. Kinsley Darrow and Keria Patel also made notable contributions in the back row, providing solid support with their digs and passes. Emma Godiwalla brought her A-game to the front row, playing aggressively at the net and securing two impressive kills for her team. Despite their best efforts, the girls were unable to overcome Cross Timbers in the second set, losing 11-25.Although the outcome was not in their favor, the team demonstrated great sportsmanship and camaraderie. After the game, they regrouped and devised a strategic plan for their next week of practice, determined to come back stronger for their upcoming matches.The Player of the Game accolade goes to Georgia Wheeless for her unwavering encouragement both on and off the court. Her leadership and positivity were evident throughout the match, and she made a significant impact defensively with two crucial blocks for her team. Georgia’s performance and attitude epitomized the team's fighting spirit and resilience.
The C team was determined to close the night on a high note. They faced a formidable Cross Timbers team but remained relentless throughout the match. The first two sets were intensely competitive, with both teams pushing their limits. The Lady Broncos narrowly lost the first set 24-26, but they bounced back in the second set, claiming victory 25-23 and forcing a decisive third set. Yahvi Bhqipure delivered her best defensive performance of the season, consistently positioning herself well to keep the play alive and set her teammates up for success. Charlotte Nelson, KB Farinde, Quinn Penniman, and Advaitha Yerramsetty were all formidable at the net, each contributing a crucial kill to the team’s effort. Their coordinated plays and aggressive net presence put consistent pressure on the Wolves. In the final set, the Lady Broncos dominated, shutting out the Wolves 15-9 and extending their winning streak. It was a true team effort, with every player stepping up when it mattered most. Lydia Praytor was named Player of the Game for her standout performance. She was a commanding presence behind the service line and an anchor on defense. Her aggressive play in the back row, including two crucial kills, showcased her determination and skill, securing the win for the Lady Broncos.





7th grade

The 7th grade Lady Broncos 'A' Team showcased improvement in their recent match against the Cross Timbers Lady Wolves, demonstrating their skill and teamwork on the court. Claire Kainer shone as the standout player, earning the title of Player of the Game for her exceptional defense on serve-receive. Her ability to read the opponent’s serves and keep the ball in play was crucial, helping to maintain momentum during both sets. Although the scores were 6-25 and 7-25, Claire's determination and focus were evident, inspiring her teammates to give their best effort throughout the match.
In addition to Claire's stellar defense, Taylor Anderson made a significant impact with her powerful serves and offensive aggressiveness. Her ability to place the ball strategically kept the opposing team on their toes, showcasing the Lady Broncos' growing confidence and skill. Despite the final scores, the team’s camaraderie and spirit shone through, highlighting their potential for future matches. With each game, the Lady Broncos are not just developing as players but also as a united team ready to face any challenge ahead!



The Lady Broncos B-Team played an impressive match against Cross Timbers, working together to secure a well-deserved win in three intense sets. Their teamwork was evident from start to finish, as every player contributed to the victory. The team’s defense was strong, with several key hits and digs that kept Cross Timbers from gaining momentum. Offensively, they executed their plays with precision, keeping their opponents on their toes. Penelope Garza and Ella Thompson were named Players of the Week for their constant leadership on the court. Both girls led by example, encouraging their teammates and staying composed during intense moments. Their dedication to guiding the team helped drive the win. Overall, the Lady Broncos’ determination and unity made all the difference! Great job ladies!

The Lady Broncos C-Team dominated in their match against Cross Timbers, earning a hard-fought win with their impressive performance. The team was amazing behind the serving line, racking up aces and keeping Cross Timbers on the defensive. Their serves were consistent and powerful, making it difficult for the opposing team to return the ball. In addition to their strong serving game, the Lady Broncos played great defense, covering the court well and digging up tough balls. Every player stepped up, showing great awareness and teamwork throughout the match. Gweneth Smith is this week’s Player of the Week for her remarkable growth since day one and her relentless hustle on the court. Gweneth’s energy and determination inspired her teammates, as she chased down every ball and kept the team motivated. Her improvement and effort have been a key part of the team’s success. The Lady Broncos continue to impress with their skill and teamwork!
