Last night, our A team faced off against cross-town rivals, the Lady Wranglers, for their second match of the season—and what a performance it was! The girls came ready to play and truly showcased their talent.
From the service line, they dominated with incredible serves, led by Hannah Mues with 9 aces and Anisha Konda closely following with 7. Their strong serving gave us a fantastic start and built a solid momentum.
Anisha excelled in serve receive with a 2.5% efficiency and made 8 digs, demonstrating leadership in the backcourt through her communication and aggressiveness. Hannah also played a vital role, contributing with a 1.8% serve receive and 5 digs, along with 2 kills. Lucy was impressive as well, posting a 1.4% serve receive and 2 digs, ensuring no balls dropped around her and effectively communicating with her teammates, adding 2 kills to our tally.
In the front row, Lauren McSpadden made a significant impact with 5 kills and 2 blocks, effectively controlling the net and posing a constant offensive threat. Her success wouldn’t have been possible without setter Caroline Crawford, who set her up beautifully throughout the match, and Zoe, who also ran an exceptional offense.
Overall, every girl contributed to an outstanding team effort. They won the first set 25-13 and closed out the second set with a 25-21 victory. Congratulations to all our A team girls for a fantastic night of volleyball!
Choosing a Player of the Game was tough this week with so many stellar performances, but Hannah and Lauren stood out for their impressive growth and contributions. Great job, team!
The B-Team faced off against the Lady Wranglers last night in an intense match, ultimately emerging victorious after three thrilling sets. Despite a sluggish start, the Lady Broncos found their rhythm midway through the first set, gaining momentum and securing a 25-20 victory.However, the second set proved to be more challenging. The Lady Broncos struggled to maintain their earlier form, and the Lady Wranglers capitalized on this, winning the set 25-18 and forcing a decisive third set.Key players Ellie Aguirre, Gabby Hernandez, and Abigail Chambers stood out for their excellent defensive efforts and consistency at the service line, keeping the team in the game when it mattered most. Maria Agu, known for her sharp offensive play, had a standout night at the net, delivering 4 powerful kills that helped turn the tide in the Lady Broncos' favor.In the final set, the Lady Broncos rallied with renewed energy and focus, dominating the court to claim a 15-9 victory and seal the match.Emma Godiwalla earned the Player of the Game honors, not only for her aggressive play but also for stepping up as a vocal leader. Throughout the match, she consistently encouraged her teammates, displaying great composure and leadership under pressure.It was a hard-fought and well-deserved win for the Lady Broncos, with every player contributing to their success on the court.
The C-Team was fired up and ready to take on the Lady Wranglers after enthusiastically cheering on both the B and A Teams to their victories earlier in the evening. From the very first whistle, the girls showcased their dedication, leaving everything on the court and maintaining an unyielding intensity throughout the match.The first set was fiercely competitive, with both teams battling for each point. However, the Lady Broncos maintained their composure under pressure and secured the set with a 25-19 win, capitalizing on smart plays and consistent teamwork.Heading into the second set, the Broncos were determined to dominate and close out the match decisively. Hadley Parker and Kinsley Darrow anchored the defense, demonstrating sharp reflexes and anticipation, which allowed the team to transition smoothly into their serve receive. Their aggressive defense set the tone, making it difficult for the Lady Wranglers to get any momentum.Meanwhile, Quinn Penniman and Phoenix Unruh were a formidable duo at the net, effectively shutting down the Wranglers' offense with well-timed attacks. Their court presence kept the pressure high and disrupted the Wranglers' strategy.The second set was a masterclass in teamwork and execution, as the Lady Broncos overwhelmed the Wranglers with a commanding 25-8 finish. The entire team played with synergy, but it was Abigayle Thompson who stood out the most. Her dominant serves left the Wranglers scrambling, while her leadership on the court ensured the Broncos stayed focused and united. For her outstanding contributions, Thompson earned the well-deserved title of Player of the Game.

Lady Broncos Shine Despite Rivalry Loss
In an intense match against their cross-town rivals, the Lady Wranglers, the Lady Broncos showed incredible spirit and resilience, even as they faced defeat. The first set ended at 14-25, highlighting the strong start by the Wranglers, but the Broncos kept their heads high, determined to regroup and give their all. Despite struggles in serve-receive during the second set, which ended at 5-25, the Broncos demonstrated their unwavering commitment to teamwork and improvement.
A standout player in the match was Taylor Anderson, whose hustle and tenacity shone throughout the game. Taylor consistently made impressive defensive plays and showcased her skills at the net, earning her the title of Player of the Game. Her determination inspired her teammates and kept the energy high, reminding everyone of the importance of effort and heart, regardless of the scoreboard.
While the loss stings, the Lady Broncos are using this experience as a learning opportunity. With their supportive camaraderie and a focus on growth, they are poised to bounce back stronger than ever.
B team had a great win against the lady wranglers! We started off going head to head on defense. Hadley Naughton had amazing kills on the net and played defense effortlessly! Megan G was a beast behind the serving line and brought us up when we were down. All of the broncos worked together on the court to ensure zero balls hit the ground. The ladies were encouraging, eager, and spirited all night. The Lady Broncos won in two sets against the Lady Wranglers. We are so proud of how much they have progressed since the start of the season. Player of the week goes to Hadley Naughton for her incredible spirit! She is so reliable and I can always count on her to make a good play. She had a great night behind the serving line and was just a beast all around. Go Broncos!
C team played a great game against West, winning in 2 sets! The lady bronco started off hot on defense and played great serve receive. Claire Wagner was all over the court and hustled for every ball. Reagan Snyder had an amazing night on the net. She went in for mini kills, and played so aggressively. Gigi McGill dominated with her serves. She served over 10 serves in a row, giving us a huge lead in the second set. The Broncos took the win in two sets! The player of the game goes to Katherine Ton for her incredible defense and for her overall growth as a player since day one! She was on fire with her serves and was always encouraging her teammates! Great game ladies!
