C
The 8th Grade C-Team battled hard against West. They started off slow with a few missed serves, but were able to lock in and defeat the Wranglers! The Broncos won 25-16 and 25-20. Alyssa Nam and Mara Ochieng killed it on defense last night. Anya Ankam, Naina Srithaj, and Kaley Tweed lead the team with killer serves. Player of the game goes to Sabine Paschal for her killer serves and great passes on defense.

B
The B-Team continues to be undefeated! The girls played great all the way around defeating the Wranglers 25-16 and 25-15. Avary Campbell stepped it up behind the service line and Ava Rodriguez had some great saves on defense. Abby Webb and Haley Jost were swinging away the whole game. Player of the game goes to Ally Tenbusch for her great game play on serve receive and multiple hits from the back row.

A
To finish the night, the A team was geared up to fight against their second cross town rival. They started the first game with some strong hits by Ann Jimmy to easily win 25-17. The second game was a real struggle to play out the other team’s serve, and ended in a 14-25 loss. The girls knew that they had to rally for the 3rd set, and although they started out going point for point, they got in a hole losing 9-14. Thanks to Lulu Abou-Jamous and Bailey Johnson’s defense, as well as Bailey’s serves, they were able to pull out a miraculous win 16-14. The girls are excited for their final home game next week as 8th graders as they take on Cross Timbers.

7 Grade

C team started their game off strong with great defense. They had some great rallies and even though we were neck and neck with the Lady Wranglers, the girls pulled off a great win. Harper Fiveash had her best game yet with great plays on the net. Charlotte Nelson was a beast behind the serving line getting the Lady Broncos a lead in the second set. Players of the Week go to two girls who have improved so much. Lydia Praytor and Riya George had their best games and fought hard for every point. Great work girls!

B team had a great win against West. They started off the first set slow but picked it up in the second and third set ultimately beating the Wranglers! The girls fought hard and played great defense. Georgia Wheeles was a leader on the court and played great on the net. Abby Chambers stepped up in a new position and worked hard for every ball. Players of the Week go to Zoe and Quinn for their leadership, heart, and hustle!

A team has been working on the importance of starting off sets strong and they did just that against West Monday night. Caroline and Lucy started us off with a big lead with their serves, Caroline with 9 and Lucy with 10 aces for the night. The girls, and especially Anisha and Julieta, did a great job reading and using the freeballs sent over from West to their advantage for a strong offense with 9 and 11 perfect passes for the night. Caroline and Bree right behind them with 4 each. The girls fought in the 3rd set to take the WIN over cross town rivals. The player of the game goes to Julieta for her constant improvement each and every week, and amazing heart for her teammates. Julieta had her best game of the year.
