The 8th grade boy Broncos stampeded their way to a 1st place finish last Wednesday at Colleyville-Heritage HS. The teams competing were Heritage MS and Cross Timbers MS.

Samuel Meier led the pack at the start of the race and settled into a comfortable position. His teammates Myles Metrano, Itsuki Pena, Atharva Thirtha, Isaiah Assefa, Nolan Reeder and Carlos Rodriguez were not far behind.

Meier ended up 1st place Over-All with a time of 11:49 , with Pena (12:21), Metranov(12:21), Assefa (12:46), and Thirtha (12:50) finishing 6th - 9th. This earned the A-Division a 1st Place Team Finish. Reeder (11th) and Rodriguez (12th) finished in the Top 15.

Our B-Division runners had some impressive finishes as well. We had Isaac Rigsby finish 2nd with a time of 13:07 and Wyatt Metrano finished 3rd place with a time of 13:28.

The Broncos will seek out their 2nd win at the CMSE Cross Country Invite on Wednesday, Oct. 4th at Andy Brown West. First race will be 8th grade girls at 5:00pm followed by the 8th Grade Boys. Come out and support your Cross Country Team. Go Broncos!
