East vs. Grapevine - September 14

8th Grade

The 8th Grade C-Team was excited to take on Grapevine after winning last week. They started the night off strong with amazing serves from Kaley Tweed. Sloan Ragland and Reeti Pachore also served a great game. They continued to play great with amazing defense by Alex Jawhari-Webb and Alyssa Nam. C-Team won both of their sets 25-15 and 25-13. Player of the game goes to Clara Lane for her two amazing kills last night.

The 8th grade B team started the game off with great communication and hustle. They were hustling after the ball and even had some amazing saves. Abby Webb saved a ball that was practically in the stands that allowed Caroline Campbell to send over for a point. Kylie Guerrero also had a stellar night in the back row. Ally Tenbusch and Nitya Vasireddy both had killer serves last night. B-Team won both sets 25-21 and 25-15. Player of the game goes to Ava Rodriguez for her amazing defense and hustle all night.

The 8th grade A team started slowly in the first game as they tried to navigate their rotation. Despite some errors, they were able to pull out of a hole with a big block by Amber Coffey and a kill by Ann Jimmy. They were able to win by a thread in extra points 27-25. The girls were ready to go in the 2nd match and were ready to pull away from Grapevine. With the great defense of Lulu Abou-Jamous and Bailey Johnson, the girls were able to swing away with great hits by Beaux Thompson and Ann Jimmy. The Lady Broncos won the second set 25-17. Player of the game is Ann Jimmy due to her fabulous hitting, serving, and all around game play.


7th Grade

C team started their game off strong with great defense. Charlotte Nelson had her best game with some great plays on the net and strong serves getting us ahead in every set. Lydia Praytor also had a great game with killer serves and great digs on the back row. C team won both of their sets and player of the game goes to a constant leader on and off the court, Ellie Aguirre. Ellie played great defense as our libero and is always a reliable player.

B team had such a fun game. As a team, they came together and made some amazing plays. Zoe and Abby were major leaders on the court as setters. They set our girls up for some great hits which got us ahead in every set. The B team won both of their sets which led to a major, well deserved celebration! Player of the game goes to Kensley Darrow for her amazing plays on the net and her incredible improvement since day 1.


A team had such a night filled with lots of great things. The girls fought hard against grapevine taking it to 3 sets for the night. Our serving game was on point and really kept up in the game all night. Lucy with outstanding serves and Avery right behind her. Lucy also had some big kills in crucial moments to get us the momentum back in the game with a total of 8 kills. We fell short in the 3rd set 12-15. The Lady Broncos take on North next week.
