The Broncos saddled up for their 4th game of the year against Trinity Springs Monday night. The C team got things going in the first game. The Broncos struggled to get things going on offense with Trinity Springs suffocating defense. Despite that player of the game, Shaurya Vaid, played his best game of the year so far having 8 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal and assist. Trinity Springs shot the ball extremely well in the 2nd and 3rd quarter pulling away from the Broncos giving them a 43-29 loss. The Broncos are now 2-2 on the season.
The B team got things rolling in the 2nd game with some awesome defense and a great offense against Trinity Springs 2-3 zone. The Broncos passed the ball great on offense to find easy, open shots. They also locked down their opponent only giving up 9 points in the 1st half. Tony Zhang, the player of the game, was a difference maker with some huge baskets while also contributing with rebounds, assists, and steals. Eric Anguiano was also a key player bringing down 16 rebounds and blocking 5 shots. This allowed the Broncos to improve to 3-1 on the season with a 33-30 win.
The A team finished the night looking to go 3-1 overall in district and a two game winning streak. The Broncos jumped out to an early 8-0 lead that to a pair of back-to-back 3's by Preston Alles and Ryland Page. After that the Broncos never looked back and lead the whole game from start to finish winning 37-31. The Broncos were led in scoring by Ryland Page and Dustin Washington with 9 points and Preston Alles with 8 points. East played suffocating defense with their full court press and never really allowed Trinity Springs to get comfortable. Player of the game goes to Chris Crear with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
