Lady Broncos vs Pike Panthers

The Lady Bronco C-Team was excited to be the first team to take the court in the opening game of the season. For many of the players, this was their first basketball game ever. They took an early lead in the first half out scoring Pike 11-2. The Lady Broncos were able to lead the entire game with aggressive defense from Mahika Rao. The Lady Broncos won their first game of the season 20-16 The player of the game goes to Saanvi Somani for scoring 17 of the teams 20 points.

The Lady Bronco B-Team was pumped after seeing the C-Team win and were ready to play their hearts out. The girls held Pike at 6-0 in the first quarter and continued to pull ahead the whole game. Many of the players were able to get points on the board with Rocket Challa scoring 10 points and Mia Schuller scoring 8 points. The player of the game goes to Rocket Challa for her leadership on the court and aggressive game play.

After a great start to the season with the B & C team taking their first wins it was time for the A-Team to get theirs. Coming off a long wait from an undefeated regular season last year, they were ready to get back to work! The first quarter was a rough start but then they started to find their groove. With great work on defense from Prisha Kolhe and all the bench players coming in and picking up the pace, the Lady Broncos were able to start pulling away. Lauren VanPelt led the team in rebounds and continued to dominate the paint. The player of the game goes to Emeline Holder with her ability to run the length of the court and put 10 points on the board for her team.

This week the Lady Broncos will be away taking on Wilson Middle School looking to go into the Fall Break 2-0!
