The Broncos charged into their third game of the year Tuesday night against Trinity Springs. The B team set the tone in the first game coming up with a great performance. Leading the team was Dom Garza with two kickoff returns and Chetan Choppa with a beautiful touchdown catch in the second half from Charlie O’Connor. The player of the game for the Broncos was Blake Saunders who did excellent at running back scoring a TD and making a ton of solid plays on defense as cornerback. Saunders also had the highlight of the game with a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown on a kickoff. The B team took home a 36-19 victory to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Broncos A team played under the lights on Tuesday night in a great matchup. The defense was playing stout the entire game as they came up with numerous stops that helped lead the Broncos to victory. Luke Rodgers came up with a huge touchdown catch towards the end of the first half to tie the game up 6-6 going into the break. In the second half, it was a grind for both teams to get things going offensively. With just under three minutes left in the 4th quarter the player of the game, Tristen Mori-McKee, came up with a massive play by scoring on a 15-yard screen pass from Sash Suriya. This put the Broncos up 12-6 with 2 minutes remaining. The defense would get a stop, and the Broncos A team was victorious improving to 3-0 on the season.
