The 8th Grade Lady Broncos traveled on the road to battle against Indian Springs. C Team got off to a rough start falling short in the first set. Things slowly started to turn around for the Lady Broncos during the second set. Karis Robinson and Addison Turner each had notable passes that helped keep the team in the game. Mia Schuller and Varshita Nidamanuri also contributed with good hits on the front row. Players of the Game go to Addison Turner and Talia Furler for their playmaking serves and hustle on the court.
B-team began the game with strong energy and communication. Dani Green started the game with her strong serving, gaining quick points for the team. Lauren VanPelt was a force to be reckoned with at the net as she earned points for the Lady Broncos with her offensive tips and hits. She was followed by Finley Penniman and Laney Bass who each had notable hits as well. Avery Easterling also made her debut as right side hitter, returning from an injury. The Lady Broncos went on to gain their second win of the season, defeating Indian Springs 2-0. Player of the Game goes to Dani Green for her amazing serving and defensive skills on back row.
A team now take the court for the final matches of the evening looking for their first win of the season. They continue to work on finding their chemistry and groove on the court. During the first set they were off to a strong start. Leah Drake continues to show her ability to pass the ball and Emeline Holder shows her athletic ability being able to be anywhere on the court. They fall in the first set but come back strong in the 2nd set. They were not able to pull out the win but have learned alot about doing their job on the court to come together as a team. Player of the game is Emma Praytor for her quick reactions to keeping the ball alive and excellent serving.
