In the football season opener, Wilson defeated the 8th grade East B team 26-12, but the Broncos rallied in the second half showing what they are really made of. Jake Johnson had an amazing pick 6 and Andy Telling threw a touchdown pass to Solo Sy on a 70-yard drive. The Broncos' resiliency throughout the whole game showed that with continued hard work they will be successful the whole season. The player of the game is Jake Johnson.

The 8th grade A team faced a tough and physical Wilson team and came up short in the end. The Broncos played shorthanded and had some guy's not 100 percent but fought hard and learned somethings about themselves. The players of the game go to Eric Anguiano for his physical play on offense and defense and Sammy Calvin and Diego Rodriquez for their flawless execution of our deep snap and punting.
