The East 8th grade boys traveled to Truett Wilson Middle School to take on the Wildcats on Monday night.

C-team looked to bounce back after dropping its last two games. Mason Trichel led the team with six points and was able to jumpstart the offense after a slow first quarter. The Broncos hung their hats on defense and put the game away early thanks to newcomer Benjamin Yau, who was all over the court and scored 4pts. Liam Spiller and Aiden Sasser were both forces on defense, and Jack C. Taylor hustled around the court as the Broncos won 27-12. Players of the game are Mason Trichel & Benjamin Yau

B-team entered the night hoping to build on their early-season success against the Wildcats. East trailed by four at the half but started the second half on an 8-0 run thanks to solid play from Nigel Sankoorikal and Zander Montgomery. Judah Mullican contributed 7 points, and Andrew Chung played well offensively and defensively. With the game tied at the end of regulation, East went to a 2-minute overtime. Down three with a minute and a half left in play, Andrew and Nigel hit 3s on successive possessions. John Jack Taylor iced the game by hitting two free throws and the Broncos won 40-38. Player of the game is Nigel Sankoorikal

A-team looked to continue its winning streak against Wilson and did not disappoint. Jaden Todd had a big game both offensively and defensively, scoring 14 points. Justus Childers played his best game of the season with 6 points and more importantly, baseline to baseline hustle and defense. Brady Lopez hit four 3-pointers as the Broncos cruised to victory 60-30. Players of the game are Justus Childers & Brady Lopez

Congrats on a clean sweep of Wilson and improving to a combined 10-2 between the three teams. Next Monday the Broncos will take on Keller Middle School in the final game before Christmas break. Come support the Broncos and make the gym rowdy!
