Congratulations to the 7th grade Broncos basketball teams for competing in their 1st games of the season against Pike, winning 2 of 3 games.

C team started the night with a lot of energy putting up quick points to take the lead. Johnny Yowell, put a 3- point shot sending out a message, that we were here to play. The boys out hustled and proved that they were the most fit, and with only 3 full days of practice. C team held onto their lead and ended up beating Pike 21 - 14.

B Team, like C team, showed great hustle and fitness. Eli Naef, driving and weaving in and out of the lanes proved to be trouble for Pike's defense. John Hinkle, also showed great offense by attacking the boards. Although it was an exciting and well fought game, the B team took a loss, but plans to bring it to Adams next week.

A team came out firing on all cylinders and ran Pike out of their own gym taking a 27-7 lead by halftime. By the end of the 3rd quarter, it was 42-12 and the Broncos had to call off the dogs for the night. Final score was 46-19 and was a great first win to start the young season. The Broncos were led in scoring by the double-double machine Dusting Washington with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Isaish Witherspoon chipped in 7 points and the splash brothers Parker and Preston Alles each had 6 points. The Broncos play their first home game of the season Monday night vs Adams Middle School. Come out and support the boys and Go Broncos.
