The A team started the night off strong with a tip off win from Amber and an immediate 3 drained within second from Avary Campbell. The girls were executing in all areas last night for a strong first half. Great defense, great ball movement from the offense, and great rebounding under the basket. It was so fun to watch them play their game so well all together. We saw a stand out performance from Avary, while she was sick just like MJ last night with the flu.. She had a triple double with 11 steals, 21 points, and 10 rebounds. Following her up with an almost double double was Amber with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Leading the second half we got to see some really great things from every one, Bella drained a 3 and had some dirty defense. Abby Webb with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Claire with 4 points and 3 rebounds. Our dynamic duo of height, Haley and Anya, had some really strong rebounds and shut down the paint for West getting shots off. Anya with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Haley 3 rebounds as well. The Broncos ended the game with a final score of 53-4. Player of the game goes to Avary Campbell.

The B team was ready to fight after losing to North the previous week. They started off slow, leading West 4-3 but picked it up in the second quarter going into halftime 16-3. Abbie Pison was a beast under the basket with 10 rebounds. Chenoa Bell was our leading scorer with 12 points. By the end of the game, you could tell that their confidence had been restored and they were playing their game. The girls defeated West 27-7. Player of the game goes to Chenoa Bell for her hustle and her free style shots.

The C Team was ready to beat West after watching B and A team win. The girls knew they were going to have to fight with 3 players being out with injuries and illnesses. They started off strong holding West 10-1. Erika, Mi’ciaya, and Siena led the team with 5 rebounds each. Mariah led the team with 7 points. Ava led the team with 6 steals. The girls continued to dominate the game winning 23-3. Player of the game goes to Mariah Briceno for her great game play under the basket.

The 7th grade A team came out ready to secure the title of City Champions against West, despite missing several players to sickness and injury. Lainey Wells kept the offense under control, while also contributing the most steals with six. Maria Agu dominated the boards with 15 rebounds, followed by newcomer Amelia Poulides with 10. Abby Chambers and Nicole Jimenez hustled on the press until the Broncos had to pull back with a short bench. The final score was 39-19. Player of the game goes to Georgia Wheeless for her all around play. She finished the game with 14 points, 5 steals, and 5 rebounds.

Next, the B team competed in a battle to score. Charlotte Nelson led in rebounding with 3. Ellie Aguirre and Kinsley Darrow dominated on defense, leading in steals. While the Broncos and the Wranglers struggled to score, most of our players were able to secure one bucket. The game ended in a 15-10 victory. Player of the game goes to Ellie Aguirre with 11 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 points.

The 7th grade C team ended the night, ready to finish off the West Wranglers. Jasmine Heyn and Michelle Kenkono led the defense in steals. Jasmine was also the leading scorer with 11 points. Emma Godiwalla won the battle of the boards with 7 rebounds! The C team ended up roping the Wranglers with a score of 28-10 to earn their City Championship bragging rights. Player of the game goes to Michelle Kenkono for her all around hustle. She finished the game with six rebounds, six steals, and 3 points.
